Asking people who know me to say one thing about me, they'll probably all say something about skiing or mountains.

I grew up in the land far north of Europe called Denmark, it's actually a pretty great place, but it's flat as a pancake.

But I basically grew up with skis attached to my feet - and I loved it. And still do. This love has driven me to live in France more than once, but I always go back to Denmark when the snow melts.

But as I said, Denmark is a great place.

I live in Copenhagen in a small apartment with two friends, just close enough to the city and not too far away from the sea. I need the nature around me. I think I got that from growing up on a small island.

But that's whats so great about Copenhagen, with all of the parks, canals and just next to the sea.

Copenhagen taught me a lot. I learn to be a student at Aalborg University Copenhagen, I learned to manage multiple jobs, I leaned that I love working with people and meeting new people and hearing their stories from around the world. I also learned that I need to be close to my friends, because being an only child in everyday life away from my family, my friends become my family. And I could never be without them. So now you might wonder, why would I travel across the world as far as I could possibly go away from Denmark? I've battled this decision a few times, but I've learned by now that I'm stubborn and don't give up too easily. I believe in traveling, confronting fear and getting out of your comfort zone. I believe this will teach you, make you grow and broaden your vision. I believe that you need to go get some knowledge from outside the classroom to succeed. Europe, the Alps and skiing is my comfort zone, so I went in the complete opposite direction.

That's how I ended up under a palm tree in the middle of the pacific.

In either way, everything will just end up as a story someday - I might as well make it a good one.
