I'm not the dedicated yoga enthusiast, who thinks yoga into everything. I'm much more like one, who does it occasionally, but who is also very unbalanced and not really that flexible.
Back home I would go to a yoga class a couple of times a week at my regular gym, where I could just as well be at a fitness class or practise boxing. But I like yoga, and just before I came to Hawaii, I actually found a teacher, who had some really great classes. But unfortunately I will never be able to enjoy yoga at the gym as much, as I did before coming here. Why is that? Well, I discovered Yoga Floats.
Yoga Floats is basically a ordinary yoga class, but it is so very extraordinary because you are doing your yoga on a standup paddle board on the sea with the view of the beautiful Ala Moana Beach Park with Honolulu on one hand and and Magic Island and Diamond Head on the other. And all of this is of course accompanied by the amazing Hawaiian whether. What is not to like?
What I'm really saying is just, if you haven't tried something like Yoga Float already - even if you're not really into Yoga - go do it. It's just like playing around and having fun and less like practice and exercise.
I'm going home in three weeks and all I want for Christmas is a standup paddle board, so I can take this amazing concept with me home!
Any tips on packing down a standup paddle board into a suitcase is more than welcome!
