... and I'm excited!
It's strange to be here on this paradise Island with endless summer and thinking about snow. I feel like I'm betraying this beautiful Island and not appreciating my time her, but that's not the case at all - there's no doubt that I will miss Hawaii from the second, I am boarding a plane in December.
But being the snow-loving European that I am, I can't help myself but to look into the news of the Alps as the winter season is coming up.
Even though we're only in the middle of November, the past weekend was seriously bringing on some real winter to the Alps and kicking off the winter season even before the ski areas opens. In only a few days with a constant snowfall entire areas in both Austria and France was covered in a beautiful snow blanket. Some areas already reached the 1 meter milestone in those days, which is really rare this time a year and it predicts the 2017/2018 winter season to turn out to be absolutely great!
Being the ski-addict I am, I was here in Hawaii a few months ago and already thinking about my next trip to the Alps - you gotta book before the good weeks at the good areas gets sold out. So I did.
Even though I'm really happy to be in wonderful Hawaii instead of rainy Copenhagen, I can't wait to get on a plane going east, because that means that there's only a few weeks until I can finally click in my skis again and run down my favorite slopes in my French hometown celebrating New Year's.
So, bring on the snow!
